Strength wasn’t something I discovered. It’s how I was raised.
My journey into fitness started long before TrainSolid existed.
I grew up in Stockton, California, with a father who was a master trainer and a mother who invested time and money into my physical fitness and wellbeing. From a young age, I was introduced to the barbell and taught the fundamentals of strength training — proper technique, discipline, progression, consistency, and respect for the basics.
Before I ever understood the science behind training, I understood its value:
Strength changes more than your body. It changes how you carry yourself through life.
That philosophy has stayed with me ever since.
Built through sport
I started participating in sports around six years old and developed a diverse athletic background that included basketball, football, track and field, boxing, martial arts, Olympic lifting, bodybuilding, and traditional strength training.
During high school, I also worked with a personal trainer myself, which allowed me to experience coaching from the athlete’s perspective before eventually becoming a coach.
But fitness wasn’t something I only did during organized practices. I became the friend who brought people together to train.
Sleepovers turned into workouts. Gatherings turned into competitions. If my friends were around, there was a good chance I was finding a way to get everybody moving.
Without realizing it, I was already doing what I would eventually build my career around:
Using fitness to bring people together and helping others discover what they’re physically capable of.
Stockton →Los Angeles →Las Vegas
In 2012, one week after graduating high school, I left Stockton and moved to Los Angeles. That’s where the next chapter started.
People would see how I trained and ask me for help. I began training people informally — writing workouts, teaching exercises, correcting technique, and helping people transform their bodies.
I wasn’t thinking about building a company. To me, I was simply helping people the same way I always had.
After COVID, that changed. I realized that the knowledge I had accumulated throughout my life could become something bigger. I could take the principles my father taught me, combine them with my athletic background, education, certifications, and years of hands-on coaching experience, and create a system of my own.
That became TrainSolid LLC. What started as helping people train became a professional coaching business built around one fundamental idea:
Build the foundation first, and everything else becomes stronger.
More than a decade of coaching
Today, I bring more than 10 years of training and coaching experience into the TrainSolid system.
That combination matters because I don’t believe most men need to train exclusively like bodybuilders, powerlifters, or professional athletes. They need elements of all three.
I primarily work with men who want to build muscle, lose body fat, become stronger, move better, and regain confidence in what their bodies can do.
My experience has allowed me to coach everyone from everyday men rebuilding their fitness to athletes, executives, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals who need high-level coaching structured around demanding lifestyles.
My work has also taken me internationally. I’ve been flown to Vietnam for private personal training and athletic-performance coaching, including the opportunity to work with one of Asia’s top pickleball athletes.
Those experiences reinforced something I’ve believed throughout my career:
The fundamentals work everywhere.
Regardless of someone’s career, income, sport, age, or location, lasting physical transformation comes back to having the right structure and executing the fundamentals consistently.
After years of coaching, competing, learning, experimenting, and refining my training philosophy, I developed the four pillars behind the TrainSolid system.
We build the foundation first.
Through progressive resistance training, proper mechanics, intelligent exercise selection, controlled intensity, and progressive overload, the goal is to develop a body that isn’t simply lean — it’s strong.
You should look capable because you are capable.
Building muscle is only part of the equation.
We combine structured training with nutrition, daily activity, conditioning, and sustainable habits to reduce body fat while maintaining the muscle and strength you’ve worked to build.
No crash diets. No living on cardio machines. No temporary transformations.
The objective is to create a physique you can actually maintain.
Muscle without movement isn’t the finished product.
I want my clients to maintain the ability to run, jump, rotate, accelerate, lift, stabilize, and move through life confidently. That’s why TrainSolid incorporates principles from athletic performance, mobility, functional bodybuilding, and contrast training.
You should be muscular without feeling stiff, strong without feeling slow, and conditioned enough to stay dangerous.
Look like a superhero. Move like an athlete.
This is where results become permanent.
Your fitness program shouldn’t require your entire life to revolve around the gym. It should fit into your career, family, travel, responsibilities, and schedule.
That’s why the final pillar is learning how to build training, nutrition, recovery, and healthy habits into your actual lifestyle.
The goal isn’t getting in shape once. It’s becoming the type of man who knows how to stay in shape.
What I want every client to leave with
My job isn’t simply to count your reps. And I don’t want you dependent on me forever.
I want to teach you how to train. I want you to understand what you’re doing, why you’re doing it, how to execute it properly, and how to progress it.
Eventually, you should be able to walk into a gym without confusion. You should understand exercise selection. You should understand intensity. You should understand progression. You should understand your body.
And most importantly, you should know how to make fitness work around your life instead of constantly starting over whenever life gets busy.
That’s the standard behind TrainSolid.
From Stockton, to building my career in Los Angeles, to now growing TrainSolid in Las Vegas, the mission has evolved — but the foundation hasn’t changed.
Build a strong body.
Build a disciplined mind.
Build habits capable of surviving real life.
Because when the foundation is solid, everything built on top of it becomes stronger.
Do what’s hard now, so life becomes easier later.
